Craig Smith, M.D., has a lifelong commitment to the healthcare of the human condition. Craig Smith, M.D., grew up as the son of a “country doc” from Montana and has devoted his life to the care of others. Over the years, Craig Smith, M.D., has accumulated a wealth of knowledge and experience in treating the active patient who is dealing with high demands of daily challenges in body, mind, and spirit.
As an exercise physiologist, Craig Smith, M.D., conducted research for the United States Army on recruits suffering from illness due to altitude sickness and dehydration. Craig Smith, M.D., graduated from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and is a Board-Certified Family Physician.
Following his residency, Craig Smith, M.D., completed a sports medicine fellowship at Ohio State University, serving as a Team Physician for the Buckeyes. Craig Smith, M.D., understands the athlete’s world of pain and healing.
The following eighteen years were spent at an Orthopedic Sports Medicine Clinic in Sioux Falls, SD. Craig Smith, M.D., served as head team physician for South Dakota State University.
During this time, he developed an interest in regenerative medicine studying biologics and musculoskeletal ultrasound at the Mayo Clinic in 2008.
Craig Smith, M.D., moved to Boise, ID. in 2014 and practiced out of two separate orthopedic settings. In 2018, Craig Smith, M.D., further honed his interest in regenerative and naturopathic work in a naturopathic clinic while undergoing a course of study with the American Academy of anti-aging. Craig Smith, M.D., received his peptide and SottoPelle® hormone pellet certifications. This further increased his understanding of the power and resiliency of the human spirit.
