Dr. Mitchell is a member of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Medical Association. She has a special interest in high risk obstetrics and minimally invasive/laparoscopic surgery.
Dr. Mitchell earned her baccalaureate degree in Chemistry and graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Kentucky in 2008. During her undergraduate studies, she was a member of the Golden Key International and Phi Beta Kappa Honor societies. Dr. Mitchell earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of South Florida at which time she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and awarded the USF Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology James M. Ingram, MD Society award.

Dr. Mitchell completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of South Florida. During her residency she was accepted into the ACOG reporter program, a recipient of the SASGOG Rising Star and William Roberts Resident award, and elected for membership into the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. She was also appointed Administrative Chief Resident.
During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, family and dog, running, reading, and boating.
