Janna is a full-scope certified nurse midwife with the American Midwifery Certification Board and a certified advanced registered nurse practitioner. She has clinical practice experience in a high-risk, hospital-based practice and freestanding birth center. She provides collaborative, family centered, evidence-based midwifery care and receives high patient satisfaction scores. Janna has extensive experience in hospital leadership and managing academic clinical research projects.
Janna provides primary, gynecologic and obstetrics care to women through their reproductive lifespan, as well as collaborative management for high-risk pregnancies and births, including gestational hypertension, preeclampsia, preterm labor and birth, and other high-risk conditions. She has served on the hospital Smooth Transitions committee, a quality improvement program focused on transfers from community-based birth providers to hospitals.
Janna earned a master’s in nursing – midwifery from Seattle University in Washington; a Master of Public Health with a focus on environmental health from A.T. Still University in Kirksville, Missouri; and a bachelor’s degree in biology from Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington.
