Karolina Baker, M.D., is a board-certified Family Medicine Physician and Functional Medicine Provider with over 20 years of clinical experience. She completed two residency programs— Family Medicine in Miami, FL, and Emergency Medicine in The Netherlands. After graduating from Poznan University of Medical Sciences in Poland in 2005, she worked in multiple healthcare settings—emergency departments, urgent care centers, primary care practices, and mental health facilities in the USA, England, The Netherlands, Aruba, and Poland.
After moving to the US in 2016, apart from the conventional medicine training, she completed an Integrative Psychiatry Fellowship and Institute of Functional Medicine training. Karolina Baker, M.D., is also certified in the Walsh protocol for managing mental health conditions, BHRT, IV Hydration Therapy, Peptide Therapy, InBody Bioimpedance Body Composition Analysis, and PNOĒ Comprehensive Metabolic/Heart/Lung/Cellular Fitness assessment.
Karolina Baker, M.D. is the Owner and Medical Director of Aven Clinic Functional Medicine located in Sarasota, FL, providing functional medicine and integrative primary care. Her approach
incorporates nutrition, detoxification, hormone balance, fitness, mental health support, permanent weight control, and mentorship. Her mission is to help others heal from chronic suffering and to enhance one’s health to the fullest. With the right support, our bodies are incredibly resilient and capable of healing. Ultimately, she wants to empower as many patients as possible to reach their full potential and embrace vibrant, abundant lives.
Karolina Baker, M.D., speaks fluent Polish and Dutch and can communicate in Spanish and Papiamento. Privately, she is a military spouse married to Lt Col (Ret.) Monty Baker and mother of Ava (7 y/o) and Aiden (6 y/o). Karolina Baker, M.D., likes to spend her free time with her husband and children, going to the beach, practicing yoga, jogging, reading, studying, and cooking healthy meals.
