Ellen is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner, and has been practicing in the ob-gyn field since 2016, with specialized training in women’s health. She provides a full range of obstetric and gynecological care to women of all ages, and her expertise includes high risk pregnancies, a holistic approach to medical issues, contraception, nutrition, women’s mental health, and adolescent and young adult medicine.
Ellen received an undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and worked in HIV research prior to her nursing career. She obtained her BS in Nursing from the University of South Florida and went on to receive a Doctorate of Nursing Practice in the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Florida State University.
Ellen is a contributing author for multiple articles from her work in HIV research, and her doctoral research on stress and coping mechanisms for NICU parents has also been published.
In addition to caring for patients at Women’s Care, Ellen is an adjunct professor in the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at Florida State University. She is an active member of the local Advance Practice Nurses Council and strives to improve nurse practitioner issues at the community and state levels. In her free time, Ellen enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband, son, and Labrador Retriever.
