She received a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Miami University and went on to achieve a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Michigan State University/Grand Rapids Medical Education Partners in Grand Rapids Michigan.
