Donna G. Breeland, M.D., FACOG, was born and raised in the Jackson area and attended Jackson Preparatory School graduating with a 4.0 as a National Merit Finalist with a National Merit Scholarship. She attended Belhaven College for her undergraduate education where she was graduated Summa Cum Laude having received the Presidential Scholarship, the Belhaven Christian Fellowship Award, was listed in Who’s Who in American College and Universities, a National Dean’s List Member with Scholarship, and on the President’s List. She was President of the Belhaven College Student Body. She attended the University of Mississippi School of Medicine and completed her Resident Training at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 1990. During medical school she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha and received the Top Gun Award for Superlative Surgical Technique in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Breeland is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, is a Fellow in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, a member of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and the Winfred L. Wiser Society. Dr. Breeland shares a Pro-Life stance with her partners and has a particular interest in infertility, minimally invasive surgery, and menopause medicine. Having been in practice since 1990, Dr. Breeland has enjoyed being involved with generations of family members through their gynecological and obstetrical care. Dr. Breeland is a member of the medical staffs of River Oaks Hospital, Woman’s Hospital, and Baptist Hospital.
Married since 1991, Dr. Breeland and her husband have three children and are active members of First Presbyterian Church in Jackson. She enjoys taking time for medical mission trips through her church, having been most recently to Peru. She is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Jackson and enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
