Dr Vazquez Vera, is Board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. After several years in private practice he was invited by Dr. Adrian Del Boca to join Miami Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Vazquez Vera completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Miami School of Medicine/Jackson Memorial Hospital. During residency, he also completed several research projects in the areas of gestational diabetes, metabolic disorders in pregnancy such as thyroid disease. He was awarded by the University of Miami the 2010 Helen Lansman Award for most Compassionate physician towards patient care.
His clinical interests include: menopause and hormonal replacement therapy, endometriosis, polycystic ovarian syndrome, premenstrual syndrome, minimal invasive surgery and High Risk Obstetrics (in particular pregnancies complicated by diabetes, thyroid disorders, overweight and hypertension). He offers a unique approach to his patients by combining Nutrition and Functional Medicine concepts with conventional gynecological care. He excels at giving each patient individualized care at all time
Dr Vázquez-Vera has been particularly trained in Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy and it’s an active member of the North American menopause society (NAMS). He is convinced that imbalances and desease are as different and unique as each individual.
Dr. Vazquez-Vera has clinical privileges at the Medical Arts Surgical Center and Baptist Hospital of Miami,Florida. Both his wife and he are originally from Mexico, they have been in Miami for some time now, they have three kids: Isabel, Diego and Javier. Aside from Medicine, he has special interests in long distance running and traveling with the family.
