Dr. Kara M. Nakisbendi is a Board-Certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist. She received her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine and completed her internship and residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. She practiced Obstetrics and Gynecology for four years in a busy practice at Lankenau and Paoli Hospitals.

Dr. Nakisbendi left obstetrics in October 2002 and was the owner and director of  Nakisbendi & Associates for 15 years for the sole purpose of providing comprehensive gynecological care throughout a woman’s life cycle in a compassionate and supportive manner.

Currently she is practicing at Holistique Naturopathic Medical Center in Bellevue, Washington where she uses a Functional Medicine approach to address complex chronic illnesses. She continues to address hormonal imbalances utilizing SottoPelle® Therapy.

Her education and experience in the healthcare field has enabled her to incorporate a patient-centered approach to medicine that is tailored to the unique needs of her patients. Because beliefs, attitudes, and motivations can all play a major role in overall wellness, she examines and includes the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of all of her patients in order to make a more holistic and accurate diagnosis. Her devotion to reaching optimal health is the basis and primary focus of her practice. She values the trust and confidence of her patients with whom she works in partnership for better health.
