Dr. Karen Salazar Valdes was born in Peru and was raised in Miami. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Miami, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies, Biology and Chemistry in 2004.
She pursued her dream and earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in 2008. In 2013 she completed her OBGYN residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital, University of Miami and joined our practice. She is happy to be working in the area she grew up in and is currently taking new patients.
Her interests include adolescent GYN, obstetrics and preventive women’s health care. She enjoys family time, traveling, boating and running. She is fluent in English and Spanish. She has a special interest in kids and adults with intellectual disabilities and is a supporter for Best Buddies International
