Dr. Guffey is a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, and is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine. Born and raised in Indiana, he completed undergraduate studies at Indiana University, and received his Medical Degree from Midwestern University, Chicago College Osteopathic Medicine, with Residencies in both Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine.
Dr. Guffey served as a ranking Major in the United States Army Reserve, Medical Corps, and served in Iraq. He has also completed multiple medical missions in Ecuador, Venezuela, Romania, and Cameroon.
He has advanced training and authoritative experience in diagnostic ultrasound, aesthetics, and IV therapies.
Along with his Medical Director responsibilities at Embolden, Dr Guffey is also currently both a practicing Emergency Medicine Physician, and the EMS Director, at Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus, Indiana.
Dr. Guffey lives in Central Indiana with his 2 children, and enjoys making up weird (and sometimes funny) jokes and quips.
