Dr. Ignacio Armas is a Florida-licensed and Board Certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist, Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, certified in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery by the Accreditation Council for Gynecologic Endoscopy, SottoPelle® Certified Physician who studied and trained under the direction of Dr. Gino Tutera, MD, FACOG, member of the Florida Obstetric and Gynecologic Society, The North America Society of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology, and The North American Menopause Society.
Dr. Ignacio Armas graduated from the University of Miami Privileged Studies Program with honors, earned his medical degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine in 1982 and completed his residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center in 1986, where he served as Administrative Chief Resident in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics. Dr. Ignacio Armas is trained in Robotic Surgery. He has a special interest in laparoscopic surgery for female urinary incontinence. He has been a proponent in the field of natural hormone replacement therapy and lectures locally on the subject. Dr. Ignacio Armas has been practicing medicine in Brandon, Plant City and Riverview since 1988.
